OK, in case you are wondering, the header for this particular entry is once again a quote from a movie I just was watching (The Suburbans in case you wanted to know).
Sometimes when I sit down I don’t really have anything to talk about and for some reason using a quote form a movie can get me started pretty well. This is not one of those times.
I’ve also noticed something else that is pretty damned weird about me: I only like to write on a laptop. I know that sounds odd, but for some reason I feel more creative and more of a “writer” when I have a laptop to pound away on. There’s just something about the feeling and response of the keys on a laptop that I prefer. It’s kind of crazy since the size of these oven mits I call my hands don’t really fit on the average laptop keyboard. For some reason though a laptop is my gateway to any kind of creativity. One day I hope I can get past this little road block.
The other funny thing about this laptop is that for some reason HomeSite (the text editor that I use) works a lot better with it’s integerated FTP program on my laptop then any of the my other computers. It doesn’t matter what platform I am running it on, this machine is the only one that doesn’t generate some weird errors. I don’t understand it but that’s OK. I’ll just continue to roll with the punches.
