It turns out that the idea I had yesterday worked and in essence I hacked my way around not working out yesterday with my EA Sports Active trainer. The one nice thing about having a trainer that is software based is that they can be easily duped.
Before you think I am some mad genius or that I am getting credit for exercise I didn’t do, that’s not the case. Today was supposed to be my rest day. When I got up this morning I went into my Wii’s calendar and told it today was the 9th and not really the 10th. Nothing major and I will now be working out three mornings in a row. As far as the game will be concerned I’m on schedule. I don’t feel too guilty since I will be doing those three days in a row.
The workout for today was GREAT! They saved my least favorite (running in place) for last and gave me tennis and volleyball. I’ve done a ton of lunges to date though. Starting to get a bit annoyed with those too but that is probably because I am not waking up earlier enough so I’m feeling rushed.
I really am going to start having to wear gloves though. Straps on my higher resistance band are starting the rub me wrong.
One more interesting bit: After doing my running in place my daughter got out of bed and came in the family room. She said my jumping woke her up and at first she thought it was “monster stomps.”. I love my kid!
